Adwoa “Adj” Awotwi, Esq., CEO

A graduate of Yale University and Duke University School of Law, Adwoa is a seasoned attorney and former athlete who also has a great deal of experience mentoring others. She became increasingly impatient with the number of stories she would hear about young athletes making poor choices that eventually led to the derailing of potentially promising careers. She decided to mesh her legal skills with her love of teaching and guiding young folks. From that union, Monday8 Consulting was born.

As a former Division I track athlete at Yale and former Coach’s Assistant for Duke’s track team, Adwoa has a multi-faceted understanding of the pressures facing student-athletes. She is able to communicate with student-athletes in her own unique way. Her teaching methods and servant leadership combined with practical advice and real-world guidance has catapulted Monday8 to its place as a go-to resource for student-athletes, their parents, their athletic programs and school administrators.

Raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Adj currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia and, until recently, spent much of her free time playing semi-contact flag football. She likes to take in sporting events of all levels, and you can often find her cheering on the New Orleans Saints, LSU Tigers’ football, Lakers basketball and Duke Blue Devils’ basketball. She also enjoys traveling, reading and listening to music.
